~Welcome to our story~
On April 16, 1995 Easter Sunday our
world tuned upside down, and we began a
new hole new world as we new it.
Our darling Twins Tasha and Bobby had
drowned.
The family was all home for Easter
dinner. We had eaten dinner, and the
twins were wanting to go outside and
play with there new Easter toys. We told
them to go ahead and we would clean of
the table and get desert ready.
We stood and watch Bobby try to hit his
ball one his new T-ball set, and watch
as his twin sister Tasha would run after
the ball for him.
They then went
down by the barn and was feeding the
goats corn. We all laughed how one
would run for corn, and then the
other.
Tasha and Bobby Mom went to call the
twins in for desert telling them that
the strawberry's were ready but no
answer was gotten. I went an called and
still no answer. We all started to yell
but heard nothing.
The twins were found in a pond that had
filled with melted snow. Tasha was face
down, and Bobby was face up with a fist
full of Tasha's hair.
CPR was started right away. 911 was
called, they came and took them to the
local hospital, where we were told
things were not good. After about 1 hour
they got both kids breathing, and life
link was coming for about a hour away.
The twins were put on the chopper, and
we were on the road for the longest
drive we had ever taken in our lives.
When we got to the hospital we were
told not to hold out on any hope,
because the twins were not going to make
it. There just was no chance at all.
We were allowed to go and see both of
them, for a min. and then were told that
we had to leave.
Within 10 min. of us being at he
hospital, Tasha passed away. Our world
was falling apart. We were told that
Bobby would never make it the night. It
was only min. before he would join his
Sister in Heaven.
Well that night turned into day, and
Bobby was still fighting.
Days turned into a week, and Bobby was
still fighting for his life.
After many test, scans, and X-rays, to
many to even remember Bobby being on a
vent to help him breath the day came
that they said the vent had to come out,
and we had to put a trachea in. Bobby's
Mother said NO WAY. My son won't be able
to talk with a trachea. So we were told
that then the vent was going to be
removed, that we would only have about 3
to 5 min. before Bobby would pass away,
because he was not breathing on his own
at all.
The vent was removed with us in the
room. All of a sudden Bobby started
breathing all on his own, and the Dr.
just stood there with his mouth hanging
open. Bobby was watch by the Dr. for 10
min. as he was breathing on his own with
a shocked look on his face. He then went
up to Bobby and told him that he had
been playing games with him, and he
could breath on his own all the time.
We then were told to put Bobby in a
home, and get on with our lives. Bobby
Mom had a new born at home who was just
3 months old.
We said no Bobby was going home with
his family, and there was not other way
it was going to happen. The Dr.'s
painted the blackest picture that they
could. They just didn't want us to take
him home. It would be to much for one
person to deal with.
Well to bad, Bobby belonged with his
family and that is the way it was going
to be. Bobby was brought home, comatose
and in a vegetative state.
On June 15, Bobby came home. Three
months of being in the hospital. The
last statement on Bobby discharge papers
say's " Child will not live for more
than Two weeks after being removed for
the hospital.
Bobby's Twin Sister Tasha is up in
Heaven along with her other Sister
Serina who passed away from SIDS in
1992.
Our family is very blessed to have Two
Angels in Heaven watching over Bobby and
us.
Our family is also very blessed to have
a Angel right here on earth with us.
We get to look into a face of a Angel
every morning and get a smile that will
melt your heart.
Well fooled them.
